Union Foam is proud to announce that Eurobatex SC, one of the flagship products in our range, has been recently improved: its formulation is now completely free from MCCP (medium-chain chlorinated paraffins) and LCCP (long-chain chlorinated paraffins).
 
This major change is part of the long-standing path of sustainable innovation undertaken by the company. In response to increasing restrictions by ECHA, the inclusion of MCCPs in the Candidate List of SVHC substances under the REACH regulation, and the known impact of chlorinated paraffins on the environment and human health, Union Foam has proactively chosen to eliminate these substances from Eurobatex SC as well, adopting alternative plasticisers based on bio-based raw materials, of non-fossil origin and lower environmental impact.
 
Eurobatex SC retains its full technical performance, offering the same level of reliability and quality, but with a significantly reduced environmental footprint: • No use of SCCP, MCCP or LCCP • Significant CO₂ emissions reduction • No emissions or energy consumption related to the refining of crude oil for the production of chlorinated paraffins.
 
As confirmation of its environmental excellence, Eurobatex SC has achieved the QL4 level – the highest possible – according to the DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) rating system, the European benchmark for sustainable construction.
